Located in Greater Palm Springs with a fast growing resort culinary scene, the Assistant Director of Food & Beverage is an integral part of the Assistant Leadership Committee leading the vision of the resort’s upbranding from Regency to Grand, set to complete in spring of 2024. This position will spearhead the development and vision of transformed culinary venues, collaborate with celebrity Chef, Angeleo Sosa on the opening of Tia Carmen, a new Southwest inspired venue and Carmocha, an upscale lounge with carefully crafted cocktails and eclectic dining with indoor and outdoor capabilities thought the campus.
This position will also oversee the operation of the renovated recreation area supporting Roadrunner Café alongside HyTides Waterpark, the largest recreation space in the desert, the new addition of Palmadoro, new culinary offerings through a nostalgic and destination inspired airstream.
With a multimillion complete property transformation, this is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned and creative individual to drive culinary awareness into multiple diverse outlets while leading the F&B venues and property to the next level from both a transient and group standpoint.
The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $110,000. This is the pay range for this position that Hyatt Regency Indian Wells reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, such as experience and education.
- Responsible for short and long term planning and the management of the Food and Beverage operations in the front and back of the house
- Develop and recommend the budget, marketing plans and objectives and manages within those approved plans
- Implement and maintain F&B sales/marketing programs
- Direct and oversee development of employees
- Hire, train, empower, coach and counsel, performance and salary reviews
- Direct the implementation of the payroll, reports, forecasts, inventory and budget for Food and Beverage operations
- Coordinate Food and Beverage operations with other hotel departments to ensure efficient guest service
- Resolve customer complaints as appropriate to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and quality
- Implement procedures to increase guest and associate satisfaction
- Exercise quality control for both Food and Beverage
- Maintaining Hyatt standards of service and ensure their implementation
- Performing daily walk-through to ensure full compliance with Department of Health regulations and Hyatt Corporate standards
- Maintain communications with Corporate Staff
- Coach and counsel employees to reflect Hyatt service standards and procedures
