Job Description
Pay Grade: I
Under general supervision, analyzes financial information and prepares financial reports to document or maintain records of assets, liabilities, profit and loss or other financial activities within an agency. Evaluates, audits and maintains accounts and transaction processing to ensure GAAP compliance.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Prepare and analyze data for the following: Applies GAAP, state or federal fiscal guidelines, and agency policies to establish tables/records of accounts or financial transactions, review financial data, and assign entries or apply accounting control measures to proper accounts. Maintains records, files and documentation related to accounting processes. Serves as liaison in responding to inquiries to solve routine accounting problems. Other duties as assigned.

- Records Daily federal draws of revenue.
- Records invoices and interunit receivable's.
- Record cash deposits daily.
- Record allocation of Federal and State revenue.
- Daily draws.
- Daily cash positions.
- Collection on aging receivables.
- Reconciles books to the back statement daily to ensure transactions are processed in a timely manner.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master's degree in accounting from an accredited college or university.
OR
- Bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited college or university AND One (1) year of professional accounting experience.
OR
- Bachelor's degree in a business curriculum which included completion of introductory and intermediate accounting sequence from an accredited college or university AND One (1) year of professional accounting experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, demonstrate some or all of the following skills/experience:
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in accounting.
- Two (2) years of experience in an Accounts Receivable role.
- Demonstrated experience utilizing PeopleSoft Financial application.
- Demonstrative experience in governmental accounting and auditing.
- Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Excel intermediate skill level.
