Assistant Director of Nursing RN

Chelsea Place Care Center is looking for an experienced RN to join its strong team of leaders as the Assistant Director of Nursing.

Responsibilities:

• Assists in the management of all levels of Nursing staff to ensure accountability to all standards of Nursing practice, quality care, and treatments.
• Takes a lead role in regular facility rounds and monitoring of resident status.
• Maintains awareness of all resident clinical care issues.
• Acts as a leader in observing and instructing clinical staff with resident care.
• Assists the Director of Nursing (DNS) in the overall training of Nursing staff to support clinical services and to meet and exceed established clinical competency levels.
• Provides daily oversight of the RN Supervisors, Charge Nurses, and CNAs.

Qualifications:

• Active RN license in the State of Connecticut, required.
• Knowledge of Quality Assurance/Improvement processes, required.
• Bachelors or Associate degree in a health care related field, preferred.
• Experience in a supervisory position in long-term care
