Requirements:
- Current NY RN license in good standing
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to plan organize and implement policies and procedure
- Must have minimum 2-3 years’ supervisory experience in a skilled nursing facility
- Must hace IP certification or be willing to complete the IP training
- Evidence of basic leadership skills and supervision
- Flexible hours required
Salary commensurate with experience
Responsibilities:
- manage nursing services in the absence of the DNS.
- Responsible for coordinating infection control program
- Responsible for staff education
- Responsible for assessment and documentation of wounds
- ensure compliance and communication with all nursing staff
- 24 hours on call, in conjunction with the DNS
- Monitors employee adherence to facility policies including but not limited to to wound care, meal service, provision of resident care, etc.
- Makes rounds on the units, ensuring appropriate care is provided
- Maintain flexibility with work schedule to address unpredictable needs
