Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the nursing staff, ensuring high-quality care is provided to patients/residents
- Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and standards
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as doctors and therapists, to coordinate patient care
- Create and update care plans for patients/residents based on their individual needs
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of Nursing staff, providing feedback and coaching as needed
- Manage shift schedules and ensure adequate staffing levels are maintained at all times
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in accordance with legal requirements
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in nursing practices and technologies
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Experience working in a nursing home or assisted living facility
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Proficient in shift management, ensuring smooth operations and efficient use of resources
- Ability to develop and implement care plans tailored to individual patient needs
- Familiarity with medical records systems and electronic health records (EHR)
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate with healthcare professionals and provide clear instructions to staff
