The Assistant Director/Senior Assistant Director of Admission is responsible for recruiting students to the university aligned with institutional goals and priorities.
- Review admission applications and makes admission recommendations that are aligned with institutional criteria and goals.
- Assigned responsibility for a geographic recruitment territory that includes management of lead and application volume and as establishing and cultivating relationships with school counselors and teachers, graduates of MCPHS and various community organizations.
- Conduct group presentations and student interviews with an aim of communicating university and program details and differentiators to prospective students. These could be in-person or virtually.
- Plan and conducts marketing travel to represent the school and programs at high school visits, college fairs and other programs as assigned.
- Responsible or a specialized role in the office that could include elements of campus event planning, travel planning, enrollment marketing and social media work, etc.
- Conduct meetings with admitted students in person and virtually to discuss options for financing the education.
- Participate in professional development as related to admissions and professional organizations.
- Assist with special projects as assigned by the director
- Serve as program expert and liaison with specific schools within the University
- Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor.
- Contributes to sustaining and enhancing an inclusive working and learning environment
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Two or more years experience in admission or college counseling
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate and market programs across all campuses
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, set priorities and meet deadlines
- Ability to thrive in a customer service role
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed
- Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment
