PRIMARY PURPOSE OF JOB
Daily administrative tasks, recruitment and working with prospective students throughout the admissions process
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Recruit students that are a good fit for the institution
2. Review and prioritize applicants based on deadlines and start dates
3. Maintain consistent and direct contact with inquiries and applicant throughout the admission cycle via phone and email
4. Act as a resource to families who may not be able to afford the college with alternative solutions and resources
5. Act as a liaison with family whom are non-English speakers with the enrollment process
6. Establish strong relationships with guidance counselor and prospective students
7. Assist with admissions-related programs and events such as Open House, Accepted Student and on the Spot Decision Days
Requirements/Qualifications:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
- Work requires a professional level of knowledge in a specialized field, which is equivalent to that which would be acquired by completing a regular four-year college program
- Some analytical ability required in order to gather and interpret data but in situations where the problems are not difficult or complex.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Work which regularly produces a high level of mental/visual fatigue. 50 - 80% of work time. Mental demands: reading, detailed work, confidentiality, problem solving, verbal communication, written communication, customer contact, multiple concurrent tasks, constant interruptions, reading technical information, math, stress
- Frequent exposure to one or more unpleasant conditions. 21 - 50% of work time. Physical demands: carrying, standing, driving, pulling, lifting, squatting, hearing, sitting, climbing, crawling, walking, kneeling, speaking, reaching, twisting, writing, attendance, pushing
