JOB SUMMARY:
The Assistant Demand Planner will play an essential role in team responsibilities including Demand Planning point person for KZP Ecom team / Helping to lead Kay/Zales Outlet discussions and strategies / Develop process efficiencies within our new Allocation, Replenishment AI tool and help with the testing and rollout of the new Ordering system.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assistant Demand Planner will be a responsible for configuration, maintenance, and ongoing support of the Impact Analytics Inventory Smart Tool, partnering with various cross-functional groups such as Planning, Merchandising, Distribution Center and Information Technology.
- Act as the SME in the Allocation/Replenishment, Forecasting and Ordering functions of Inventory Smart. Responsible for testing, training, reporting, developing best practices and documentation.
- Own KPI report pulling to ensure we are tracking to our company benefits tied to the IA tool.
- Play integral role in end of lifecycle analysis across banners and help identify when skus are down-trending faster (i.e., suggest sending skus to sell down / clearance / or tiering to fewer stores).
- Help own KPI reporting to ensure we are getting benefits.
- Partners with the Store Planning team and is instrumental in the setup of new stores or stores going through a remodel.
- Facilitates set up and maintenance of ordering and store replenishment settings.
- Help Planning with pre-determined tasks throughout the year to develop understanding of how teams are intertwined and to build a strong partnership with the Planning team.
- Capability to multitask and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Education Required: Bachelor's degree in finance, statistics, business, engineering, operations, economics, or related area
Required or Acceptable Job-Related Experience: Non-degreed candidates considered if the candidate has extensive background in retail merchandising (planning or buying)
Years of Job-Related Experience Required: 2+ years of experience in merchandise planning, inventory management, forecasting or statistical modeling
Technical/Other Skills Required: Demonstrated ability to think strategically and creatively while applying sound business judgement and quantitative analytics. Experience using a forecasting system. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis in Excel. Proficient with forecasting methodologies and/or statistical modeling.

The salary range for this opportunity is $48,000 - $60,000. Base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors.
