How you'll make a difference?
As a Senior Global Demand Planner, you'll focus on upstream demand planning activities, working directly with Sales, Marketing and Finance to close the gap on the demand plan and budget. This individual will champion their Franchise and facilitate monthly demand reviews to help drive financial reconciliation.
What will your Duties and Responsibilities be?
The following are the essential functions of this position. This position may be responsible for performing additional duties as tasks as needed and assigned.
  • Champion Franchise and all correspondence regarding SC to Sales & Marketing
  • Calculate safety stocks monthly for all required parts
  • Calculate and analyze a statistical 24-month global sales forecast by SKU and region and or customer
  • Calculate a non-sales forecast to support re-occurring implant and instrument demand, estimated loss in the field, yield factors and expiration impact, etc.
  • Facilitate Monthly Demand Review meetings. Suggest a consensus plan to Mktg and Finance bases off opportunities/vulnerabilities, product lifecycle, changes in market demands, cannibalization, and sales promotions
  • Develop new product launch forecasts and provide significant gaps to budget
  • Drive continuous improvement of volume forecasting processes, systems, and tools
  • Develop and implement a process, in accordance with IBP, to calculate new product forecasts while working closely with Sales, Marketing and Finance.
  • Be an integral part of the stage gate process and attend product portfolio and weekly core meetings for both Alpha and full commercial launch products and product systems
  • Monitor Demand and measure Forecast Error, Bias, MAPE, and MAD to neutralize bias

What skills and experience will you need?
The requirements listed below are representative of the education, knowledge, skill and/or ability required for this position.
Education/Certifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience, Skills, Knowledge and/or Abilities:
  • 5+ years' experience in Demand/Forecasting Planning
  • Demonstrated success partnering and collaborating with Product Development teams within Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, and Distribution
  • Project Management experience
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel
  • Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on meeting customer needs
  • Excellent communication skills with a strong ability to write business reports and correspondence, as well as the ability to speak effectively before groups of peers, leadership, and customers
  • Critical thinker with strong attention to detail and ability to problem solve and establish solutions in a high-growth and fast-paced environment

What qualifications are preferred?
The education, knowledge, skills, and/or abilities listed below are preferred qualifications in addition to the minimum qualifications stated above.
Education/Certifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in applicable field of study

Additional Experience, Skills, Knowledge and/or Abilities:
  • 8+ years of related demand planning experience
  • Oracle R12 ERP experience and/or demand planning software experience
  • Experience in the medical device industry
