ASSISTANT DEAN, FIRST-GENERATION COLLEGE AND/OR LOW-INCOME STUDENTS (FLI) STUDENT ADVISING AND SUCCESS, Undergraduate Advising Center (UAC), to assume a newly-created role and assist with the design, implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement of advising programs and services for FLI students (FLI). Will help support the mission of the Institute and UAC by ensuring that FLI student populations have the necessary resources and support to succeed academically and thrive personally throughout their academic journey. Responsibilities include managing the FLIPOP First-Gen orientation program; overseeing FLI student executive board, programming, and initiatives throughout the academic yea; formulating and implementing programming for the FLI community and addressing the academic, social, and holistic support needed to thrive, with emphasis on faculty engagement, community building, academic skills building, wellness, and mentorship; and providing on-going information, counsel, and support to individual students and serving as a resource to the MIT community for supporting FLI students.
