WORK PERFORMED:
- Process travel and expense reports daily in Concur software, including monitoring transactions for compliance with company policies.
- Complete travel and expense exception reports monthly
- Maintain the Concur database of employee information
- Assist employees with travel and expense questions
- Prepare expense reports for designated Accounting and Asset Management employees
- Process incoming cash receipts, including check endorsement and deposit slip preparation for both remote and branch deposits, and researching general ledger coding
- Code and process invoices in Nexus for Asset Management, IT, and AP departments
- Serve as a backup for coding and processing invoices in Nexus for all of the Company's divisions
- Process the monthly Sales and Use tax filings and make applicable payments for multiple states
- Prepare journal entries and corporate account analyses/reconciliations
- Assist with assembling information for external auditors for audits
- Ensure compliance of the Accounting department with the Company's document retention policy
- Maintain and reconcile the Company's petty cash
- Other special projects as assigned related to administrative functions for the Accounting department
- Well-developed organizational and analytical skills, with particular focus on attention to detail and time management
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High proficiency in word processing
- Ability to sustain productivity in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines
- Associate's degree or equivalent relevant experience in Accounting
- 2-3years experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience with JD Edwards general ledger, Nexus, and/or Concur software platforms a plus
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This job operates in an office setting.This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, scanners, and video conferencing equipment.
