Assistant Controller

Assistant Controller Pay Rate: $40.86/hr- $62.98/hr Hours: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Mon -Fri Location: Onsite - Royse City TX 75189 Duration: 9 monthsPosition Summary: To support the accounting department with review and preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals. Review transactional data for completeness and accuracy, monitor and implement financial controls. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual managerial reports. This is an opportunity for accounting professionals who are entrepreneurial minded, appreciates an autonomous and structured work environment, and want to take an interactive role in providing leadership and guidance in a progressive and growing organization.Responsibilities " Balance sheet reconciliations Banks, PPDs, Accruals, CAPEX schedules, Fixed asset tracking " P&L review and dissemination to departmental counterparts; Review and implement corrective measures to maintain accuracy in the financial records " Month end closing Concur, freight, GRNI, Pending items, reporting, posting, supplement schedules " Reconciliation of clearing accounts; Creation of Suppliers, Customers, Products, etc in ERP " Finished goods and raw material cost roll up to update monthly and for budgetary projections " Calculation of the customer freight out and monthly allocation " Validation of AP entries, review for accuracy and completeness. " Review and close manufacturing work orders for all plants and verify material costing " Departmental point of contact for assistance with PO s, goods receipts, returns, production work orders, material tracking, inventory control and costing, etc " Weekly review AR for collection oversight and direction and AP for review of cash disbursements " Work with Purchasing to maintain a CAPEX projects schedule with budgetary detail, monthly spend and any deviations as they are incurred for full financial visibility and cash flow forecasting " Review cost structures on PO s to verify freight is being properly accrued " Create new employees in timeclock system " Concur updates for new employees and changes to manager approval structures " Maintain the property and equipment lease schedules " Collaborate with IT department to maintain financial records and system processes. " Calculate consignment billing details.

Vehicle Fleet management, ordering new vehicles, approving repairs, ordering fuel cards, sending reminders for maintenance and fuel usage, etc. CHRYSO phone management with AT&TQualifications: Minimum Requirements " A bachelor s degree in Accounting " 3+ years of experience in Inventory management or manufacturing " 3+ years of experience as an Assistant Controller or Controller role " 2+ years of experience utilizing ERP " Advanced knowledge of Excel " Solid knowledge of US GAAP and regulationsPreferred Requirements " Effective ongoing communication of financial related information to business counterparts.
