MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field reflecting an in-depth knowledge and understanding of financial analysis, budgeting and cost accounting techniques required. An MBA and/or CPA preferred. Demonstrates experience with special projects and detailed financial modeling (including P&L, balance sheet and cash flows), sensitivity analysis, analytical review and valuations. Two to five years of related experience in health care or related industry exposure to accounting systems and procedures, budgeting, forecasting techniques, and financial analysis is required. Ability to interact and communicate verbally and in written form effectively, with all levels of management and staff. Demonstrates ability and working knowledge of computer systems, Microsoft applications, including intermediate to expert knowledge of Excel and Powerpoint. Ability to prepare and edit effective presentations, reports, email and interdepartment correspondence. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision is a key attribute. Demonstrates working knowledge of basic healthcare terminology, healthcare finance including reimbursement models and operations.
Required Length and Type of Experience
Minimum of 2 to 5 years of work experience in Accounting or Finance. Healthcare finance experience and MBA/CPA/CMA certification desirable. Familiarity and demonstrated experience with project-based financial work desirable. Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects with competing deadlines. Supervisory experience preferred.

GENERAL SUMMARY
This position reports to the Controller and is the Assistant Controller for the ACMC Healthcare System and is responsible for acting as the internal finance consultant to system managers for finance functions including business plan development, business plan reviews, financial modeling and analysis, strategic assessments and presentations of this work. The position will coordinate, conduct, and document routine and special analysis projects. This position will direct the work of the General Ledger staff and will direct the General Accounting department in the absence of the Controller.
