Pay
Range: Starting $18 per hour

The Assistant Construction Manager will work directly with our General Manager to oversee the day-to-day construction and successful completion of projects as sold to our clients. This person will visit job sites (company vehicle provided) to deliver products or equipment, conduct job starts on projects, coordinate with other subtrades, and provide an eye on quality control for our projects. This position requires the ability to oversee the construction of multiple residential projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Support crews, vendors and outside sub-contractors in an efficient manner.
• Conduct job-starts in the field and regularly travel to job sites to supervise progress.
• Review all construction drawings, schedules, and material orders and provide timely feedback regarding any issues or concerns.
• Ensure that projects are built as planned and detailed.
• Shop for non-deliverable items, i.e. Home Depot, and assemble job boxes.
• Execute the resolution of site issues as they arise from crews and clients or as assigned.
• Maintain warehouse and stocked materials
• Identify issues on job sites as they arise.

Qualifications and Skills

• The right candidate for our position will also meet the following criteria:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• A high level of organizational skills that includes the ability to multi-task on several projects at once.
• Traveling in the Charlotte area 85% of the time
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Ability to lift at least 100 pounds
• Construction Management degree or equivalent preferred
