Assists Survey Manager on our I-95 Bid-Build project you will manage the survey teams of one complex or large project site, providing technical input regarding engineering standards, specifications, design instructions and land mapping.
What you will be doing- Provides work control lines and elevations that are required for accurate measurement and correct installation of materials by field staff i.e., forms for concrete pours, anchor bolts, piping hangers and supports, etc.
- Insures that crews perform layout work competently and accurately.
- Checks as-built conditions that require the use of surveying techniques.
- Coordinates survey activities with the assigned engineer and superintendents to meet the construction requirements.
- Manages survey department resources and department assigned budget.
- Perform additional assignments per management's direction.
- Provides topographic and cross-section surveys as required for planning and payment quantities.
- Assists with conducting quantity calculations as required.
- Monitors and maintains the condition and calibration of surveying equipment.
- Maintains knowledge of Company's values and strategic plan.
- Support published corporate policies.
- High School Diploma / GED required.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, geometrics or related field preferred.
- 5+ years' experience in survey or land mapping required.
- Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) preferred.
- Valid Driver's License
- Developing leadership and management skills.
- Expert knowledge of land mapping and technical survey instrument techniques.
