As the Assistant Bidding Producer (Assistant Production Accountant)- Project Hire, you will process Accountants Payable and assist with Payroll for several media efforts. You will work closely with Bidding Producers, Media Producers and Finance to process all vendor payments through EP Smart Accounting. The payroll effort is minimal and involves non-union crew and actor payments as well as some SAG actor payments. We are looking for a driven, self-starter who is detail oriented!
The Assistant Bidding Producer (Assistant Production Accountant)- Project Hire will report to the Senior Manager -Bidding Producer-Media.
This is a 31-month Project Hire without any guarantee of permanent placement.
What You Will Do:
Under general direction of Manager:
- Process Purchase Orders and A/P payments within Smart Accounting and gather approvals from appropriate team members.
- Prepare wire transfer payments.
- Process W-9's and CA590's to set up vendors.
- Ensure all necessary back up is attached for payment - working with legal to obtain executed contracts.
- Process 1099 yearly for A/P vendors.
- Work with Disney Financial Services to coordinate quarterly and yearly sales/use tax filing.
- Prepare and process payroll start forms and timecards for 3rd party production crew - including actors and directors.
- Ensure we align with ACA requirements, working with EP Cares and studio partners.
- Process monthly bank reconciliations
- Prepare Smart Accounting and SAP journals.
- Filing of A/P & Payroll.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
2-3 years of experience including:
- Experience with Live Action production payroll.
- Knowledge of EP accounting software systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Solid time management skills.
Education:
HS Diploma or equivalent required.

The hiring range for this position in California is $70,000.00-$93,800.00 per year based on a 40-hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
