You will report to the Architecture Studio and Project Design Executive.
This is a 25 to 30-month Project Hire position without any guarantee of permanent placement.
Responsibilities/You Will:
Provide support to various architectural projects by assisting in project design development and technical documentation!
Provide design documentation in the form of graphic illustration, imagery boards, color renderings, and research and documentation on assigned projects
Perform technical tasks and documentation, including base sheets, construction details, plans/sections/elevations, 3D visualization, and general project coordination
Basic Qualifications/You Have:
One year of internship or experience in an architecture practice, or a professional internship is desirable
Basic understanding and experience in the use of construction materials and products for thematic applications
Demonstrated thoughtful design, artistic skills and professional judgment in solving complex architectural problems
Proficiency in Excel, Word, 3D building information model (BIM) creation and 2D design softwares using CADD (Revit, Rhino, SketchUp and AutoCad) and digital illustration tools such as Maya, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Twin Motion
Basic command of written and verbal communication skills
Willingness to collaborate effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment
Familiarity with architectural design and construction techniques
Familiarity with related design disciplines including but not limited to, infrastructure, area development, grading/drainage, interior design, lighting, graphics, structural, mechanical, electrical and plumbing, engineering, etc
Preferred Qualifications:
Solid understanding of Disney story telling through theme park development; actively pursues deeper knowledge of Disney traditions, history and theme parks globally through Disney educational opportunities and/or self-directed study
Working actively toward U.S. professional licensure
Membership in a professional organization such as American Institute of Architects, Urban Land Institute, Construction Specifications Institute, U.S. Green Building Council, or Green Roof Association is desirable
Education:
Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Architecture from an accredited program
Advanced degree in Architecture or Urban Planning is desirable

The hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA is $70,000 to $93,800 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
