To build and strengthen the character of Jr. and Sr. High School students through recreation (basketball).
Responsibilities- Teach the students how to play/respect the game of basketball, enforcing the rules
- Responsible for developing and running a 2-hour basketball program 1-2 times a week
- for youth ages 12-19
- Responsible for developing and running a 2-hour basketball program once a week for youth ages 7-11
- Responsible for collecting the stats for the Corps Officer on a monthly basis
- Responsible for the cleanliness of the gymnasium, hallways, and restroom facilities throughout the Corps building
- Notify the Youth Assistant of any issues
- Report to the Youth Assistant any problems, injuries, or incidents involving the property, program and/or the participants
- The Assistant Basketball Coach reports directly to the Youth assistant regarding all youth and family recreation related issues
- The Assistant Basketball Coach is responsible for maintaining a safe and structured environment.

Qualifications- High School Diploma and/or experience with Basketball Coaching
- Good communication skills (written and verbal)
- Attention to detail
- Problem solving and assessment with the ability to multitask
- Work as a team player as well as independently
- Good organizational skills, writing skills and communication skills are a must
- Has respect and consideration for the people being served
