Along with the Afterschool Program Site Lead, the Assistant Site Lead administers all aspects of the Afterschool Program to ensure that there is a quality extended day learning environment and is the primary contact for parents during the after school (ASES) program hours.

Reports to: Afterschool Program Site Lead

Job Duties:

• Oversee day to day activities in the Afterschool Program (Attendance, discipline, parent concerns)
• In collaboration with the Afterschool Program Site Lead, supervises staff and support implementation of instruction (afterschool activities)
• Daily interaction with parents, students and staff. Answering questions, ensuring timely and professional communication
• Meet regularly with the Afterschool Program Site Leader to ensure quality programming and scholar safety
• Coordinate with the Afterschool Program Site Leader and Accounting Clerk to secure supplies for after school lessons
• Ensure appropriate coverage of staff absences, including responding to time off requests, calling substitutes, and preparing substitute for duties
• Collect and Input Daily Attendance and ensure accurate enrollment documentation.
• Record Keeping (Early Pickups, Health Room Visits, Student Discipline, etc.)
• Assist the nurse by following safety procedures to keep all students safe.
• Support the school administrative team as needed with confidential and time-sensitive tasks.
• Assist with other office duties as needed.

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities
• Bilingual in Spanish
Computer Literacy (Word, Excel, Basic use of Student database)

Education and Experience:

• High school Diploma
• Two years of school/afterschool experience preferred
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Knowledge of different educational software a plus
• Experience working with ELL students a plus
