Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Assistant Accountant to join our finance and accounting team. As an Assistant Accountant, you will provide support in various accounting tasks to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accounts Payable and Receivable Support: Assist in processing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including invoice processing, payment processing, and collections. Maintain vendor and customer records, reconcile accounts, and resolve discrepancies.
- General Ledger Assistance: Support the general ledger maintenance, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes. Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data in the general ledger.
- Financial Reporting Assistance: Assist in preparing financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for financial statement audits and reviews.
- Expense Management: Monitor and analyze expenses, including employee reimbursements, travel expenses, and office supplies. Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures regarding expense management.
- Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial transactions. Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issues identified during the reconciliation process.
- Budgeting and Forecasting Support: Assist in the budgeting and forecasting process by preparing budget variance analyses, tracking expenses against budgeted amounts, and providing insights and recommendations to management.
- Software Utilization: Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero) and Microsoft Excel to maintain financial records, generate reports, and perform data analysis. Ensure the integrity and security of financial data in the accounting system.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Minimum one years of experience in accounting roles, with proficiency in accounting principles and practices.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management abilities.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero) and Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively with team members.

Salary: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
