Job Description – Asset Management Associate

Hayden Glade is a multifamily real estate investment firm founded in 2020; we specialize in the complex and highly regulated affordable housing business. Our office is in Danvers, MA and we are looking for an Asset Management Associateto join our growing team. The successful candidate will contribute to the performance of the portfolio by thinking strategically about the future while accomplishing short-term projects. The Associate will provide high-level financial, physical, regulatory, and administrative services for Hayden Glade’s portfolio, while functioning independently, and reporting clearly, with recommendations to grow the business. An entrepreneurial mindset will be critical to success.

Essential Duties

· Support the founders in operating our growing affordable/workforce housing portfolio

· Conduct detailed property-level analysis of tenants/in-place leases, capital projects, operating and financial statements, market and competitive position, and other relevant information

· Work with project manager to revise and update 5-year capital plans as needed

· Assist team in due diligence on new acquisitions

· Analyze leases and rental rates; monitor overall leasing status and strategies

· Work closely with third-party managers to realize ownership goals/objectives

· Assist with preparation of property-level business plans and budgets; analyze property performance relative to business plan targets

· Perform quarterly property valuation analysis

· Maintain property dashboards for clear, concise reporting

· Monitoring loan balances and assisting with draw requests

· Prepare and provide weekly/monthly summary reports, property status reports, and quarterly reports while meeting established deadlines

· Work with existing and prospective investors

· Assist in closing new acquisitions and placing debt

· Assist in maintaining internal company reports

· Assist in other duties and projects as assigned

Minimum Requirements

· Minimum of 3 - 5 years of relevant experience in an analytical role within real estate

· Strong analytical skills, with experience successfully managing multiple projects with competing deadlines

· Significant experience with financial analysis and modeling

· Self-starter who can work well with limited direction and a “roll up your sleeves” attitude

· Excellent written and verbal and communication skills

· Ability to operate with a high degree of flexibility and to adapt to changing demands

· Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel including experience querying data

· Strong attention to detail

· Entrepreneurial drive

· High integrity and ethical standards

· A valid state driver’s license and ability to pass a pre-employment criminal background check

Additional Details

· Travel to portfolio properties required

· Experience with low-income housing programs is a plus but not necessary.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $135,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
