Job Title: Assembly & Test Technician Department: Electronics Shop

Job Summary
The Assembly & Test Technician is primary responsible for assembling electronic systems, following test procedures, build cable assemblies, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electronic systems.
Responsibilities:
- Assemble electronic systems according to engineering instructions and technical specifications.
- Follow quality test procedures to evaluate performance and functionality.
- Build cable assemblies that include crimp and / or solder-cup style connectors.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electronic systems as needed.
- Support inventory control of production electronic components.
- Maintain documentation for quality records and component traceability.
- Maintain a clear organized workspace.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Required Qualifications:
- Capable of working from schematics, diagrams, written instructions, and/or verbal instructions.
- Comfortable working with low voltage (energized circuits powered with 35 Volts or less)
- Ability to assemble miniature electronic components with general hand tools for electrical sub- assemblies (tweezers, flush cuts, small pliers, etc.)
Desired Qualifications:
- Technical work experience with electronics or a related technical discipline.
- Experience working with microscopes.
- Qualified to perform soldering of components (through -hole and SMT) on circuit card assemblies.
- Experience with ISO 9001:2015 compliant Quality Management Systems.
- Knowledge of soldering, brazing, and welding materials and processes
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sitwalk, talk, and hear. The employee occasionally is required to stand, climb, stoop, kneel and crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or push/pull up to 40 pounds.
