Form of workA lovely young couple near Union Square, NYC are seeking a Spanish-speaking Weekend Nanny for their 10-month-old baby. The schedule for this role will be Saturday morning through Monday morning. This is a live-in role and the nanny will be on-call overnight. The nanny will work at least 12 hours per day, with the possibility of more. The family is willing to provide a break each day if needed.
Duties for this role will encompass all baby care, including managing sleep and feeding schedules, planning outings and activities, and providing an engaging and stimulating environment. This is a staffed home, so the nanny will not be responsible for other household duties, but should feel comfortable making some baby food and basic meals for the child as needed, and will keep child spaces organized and tidy throughout the day.
This is a two-mom household and both mothers are very involved, so candidates should feel comfortable working on a team with parents. This is a fast-paced and busy household, so the family is looking for someone who is warm and maternal, and also highly organized, capable, and meticulous. They are seeking a team-player who can take direction, but also anticipate needs and take initiative. The family plans to grow and would like this person to be with them for many years.
Candidates for this role must be COVID vaccinated and must be willing to stay up to date on other recommended vaccinations. The family occasionally travels to a second home over the weekend, and the nanny should be willing to accompany them if needed. This position is offering a flexible and competitive rate of $30-45/hr. and will include PTO and health insurance after a probationary period.
