The Photo Art Director works on a creative and production team and leads the development of compelling creative imagery for a wide variety of marketing and advertising use cases. This role filters between big picture creative thinker and creative obsessed detail doer and understands that both of these functions work in tandem to elevate the brand. While creative, the role has to continually focus on delivering imagery that is grounded on our brand and merchandising strategy. Job Description: Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Photography, Radio-Television-Film or related subject Work Experiences: 7+ years of experience in production and/or art direction.
Retail or agency experience preferred 5+ years of experience in digital photography, studio management and art direction is preferred Skills: Strong art direction, project management, and time-management skills Ability to handle multiple projects with multiple stakeholders while prioritizing workload Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment and adhere to strict deadlines Excellent communication and comprehension skills Proficiency in Mac OSX or PC computer and software with a working knowledge of MS Office Responsibilities: Responsible for creating engaging photography concepts that elevate the brand and leads those concepts through productions for print, digital, social, and packaging Collaborate with Art Directors, photographers, producers, and stylists to ensure business and creative goals are consistently met Research and recommend the best partners to realize the creative vision for each project while continually evolving brand visual deliverables Manage external vendor relationships (photographers, freelance production support, production companies, etc.) Continually drive customer engagement and conversion leading the creation of innovative and engaging visuals Provide on-set art direction on styling, composition, lighting, propping, etc. Provide guidance to ensure creative vision is achievable within deadline and on budget Required to learn company policies and procedures Duties may change and team member may be required to perform other duties as assigned Physical Requirements & Attendance: Acceptable level of hearing and vision to perform job duties Regular attendance required Adhere to company work hours, policies, procedures and rules governing professional staff behavior Must be physically able to walk long distances, and film in all weather conditions and environments Have ability to load in and load out film equipment Ability to work flexible hours such as evening, weekends, and holidays as necessary, with frequent travelling Up to 5% travel required Full time Equal Employment Opportunity Academy is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate with regard to employment opportunities or practices on the basis of race, religion, national origin, sex, age, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, or any other category protected by law.
