A Superintendent's primary responsibility is as the main contact in the field, working in concert with the Project Manager to schedule, plan and direct all field operations to include management of all work by RAC's own forces and that of the subcontractors. Has full responsibility for initiating and implementing all pertinent safety and quality control policies and procedures. Additional responsibilities include: review of subcontractor scopes, participation in buyout, adherence to budget and to ensure the construction process and building are completed to the client's full satisfaction and at the company's levels of profitability.
As a Superintendent at Roy Anderson Corp., reporting to the VP of Field Operations, you will have the opportunity to:

• Verify skill level of trades people and take appropriate action
• Manage self-performed work
• Manage material purchases
• Effectively manage equipment utilization and third party rentals
• Effectively resolve disputes between subs to eliminate back charges and extra costs
• Develop respect of owner and subcontractors
• Create atmosphere of teamwork among project stakeholders
• Implement site logistics/utilization plan
• Effectively utilize and communicate, update and manage project schedule

• Four (4) year construction related degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience preferred
• Minimum of six (6) years construction experience with a minimum of three (3) years in a leadership capacity.
• Ability to lead and evaluate craft performance
• Working knowledge of computer system and software necessary
• Ability to type 25 words per minute
• Good verbal and written communication skills
