DESCRIPTION:
An Assistant Superintendent's primary responsibility is to plan, lead and coordinate subcontractors' and/or craft employees' work activities for an assigned project. Perform all essential functions and responsibilities in conjunction with the company's values and beliefs in alignment with RAC's policies and procedures so that the construction process and building are completed to the client's full satisfaction and at the Company's expected levels of safety, quality and profitability are obtained.
As a Assistant Superintendent at Roy Anderson Corp., reporting to the Superintendent, you will have the opportunity to:

• Review specifications and drawings
• Review budgets and scopes with Superintendent and/or Project Manager
• Identify field labor, material and equipment requirements
• Assist with planning and execution of required commissioning activities
• Facilitate closeout/final acceptance process
• Assist with demobilizing project site and inventory company assets
• Interpret, utilize and enforce sub conformance with site logistics/utilization plan
• Effectively utilize and communicate project schedule
• Assist with preparation of daily Superintendent reports
• Provide task status data for use in updating the project schedule
• Constructively participate in subcontractor coordination meetings
• Utilize Look Ahead Schedule to manage progress of the work
• Assist with construction of mockups and conduct water tests
• Assist with Unit Cost Reporting
• Accurately code labor and material costs
• Provide effective leadership to project team
• Verify skill level of trades people
• Conduct regular staff meetings
• Mentor and train project field staff - conduct OJT

• Two year Construction/Engineering Degree or equivalent combination of technical training and/or related experience
• Minimum of five years construction or similar experience, preferably in leadership capacity
• Working knowledge of various construction disciplines, cost control, construction sequencing, scheduling, safety regulations, engineering drawing and other documents required
• Ability to lead and evaluate craft employee performance
• Working knowledge of department's computer systems and software
• Ability to type 25 words per minute
