The Site Superintendent is responsible for overall management control and accountability for technical performance, cost and schedule control associated with their assigned contract site. The Site Superintendent will commit resources needed to effectively and efficently perform the requirements of the contract site to include the areas of Heavy Equipment Maintenance/Repairs; Recreation Area and Facility Cleaning; Solid Waste Collection, Transport, and Disposal; Visitor Center Operations and Maintenance; Graffiti Removal; Carpentry; Erosion Control Activities; Buoy Placement and Maintenance; Painting; Heating/Air Conditioning Services and repair maintenance; Masonry Repair; Landscaping; Wildlife and Fisheries Habitat Enhancement; Flood Control Structure Repairs and Maintenance; Road Maintenance/Repairs, tree trimming and removal due to breaks; security equipment maintenance; and unplanned & unscheduled maintenance.
Responsibilities
  • Directly responsible for all aspects of the specific sites effort with the autonomy to execute operations for compliance with PWS requirements.
  • Responsible for the successful performance of the contract site and ensuring project safety and quality control.
  • Primary liaison with the Government customer on site.
  • Be fully capable of understanding and applying the requirements contained in the U.S.
  • Army Corps of Engineers Safety and Health Regulations, EM 385-1-1.
  • Develop and maintain proactive working relationships with team members, vendors, management and other departments.
  • Monitors and reports program execution status with Project Superintendent and Ajanta leadership.
  • Evaluate program labor hour execution against contractual performance criteria then analyze, recommend, and report findings on a regular basis.
  • Establish and monitor detailed workflows and resourcing plans, set deadlines, assign responsibilities, resolve conflicts, and manage progress with confidence.
  • Review, approve, and report project resources time allocation and correlating invoice processing.
  • Foresee a project's obstacles, risks, and constraints and effectively plan around them.
  • Provide weekly status reports on progress and issues.
  • Ensures the appropriate amounts of qualified labor and management necessary to perform operations and support services are available and employed in a cost effective, safe and environmental sound manner.
  • Overseas the development of a training program addressing both Government training and contractor-provided training to ensure contractor personnel are trained and required skills are maintained to accomplish the requirements of this effort.
  • Directs the enforcement of the site-specific safety plan.
  • Oversees the development and implementation of a program for the long-term use, systematic care, inspection and maintenance record keeping of Government Furnished Equipment (GFE).
  • Directs the maintenance of Government owned records.
  • Ensures all Human Resource reporting and compliance with Human Resources laws and regulations are followed.
  • Oversees and directs the Programs Contract, Subcontract, and Procurement efforts.
  • Main rogram interface with the US Government's Contracting Officer Representative (COR).
  • Oversees Program property control and management
  • Supervisory Responsibilities
    • All contract site personnel
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Minimum of five (5) years' managing lake maintenance operations support functions. This experience shall cover operations, maintenance, and repair activities.
  • Possess and maintain a state commercial pesticide/herbicide applicator license.
  • Mississippi commercial pesticide applicator's license
  • Class A CDL preferred.
  • Possess valid State Driver's License.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledgeable, skilled, and trained in written communications to initiate and to compose the activity hazard analysis as set forth in EM 385-1-1 for each individual specific work task.
  • Skilled and trained in oral communications to implement the activity hazard analysis prior to performing each work task.
  • Knowledge and understanding of ISO and quality management system program level functions.
  • Knowledge of computers and the ability to use commercial software programs such as Microsoft Office.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications especially Word and Excel.
  • Possess a high degree of proficiency in assigned function and attention to details.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 70 pounds
