Area Manager - Food & Beverage Operations

As an Area Manager, you will be responsible for the Food & Beverage and Merchandise operations. You will lead a team of Guest Experience Managers by coaching and directing them to exceed Guest expectations, meet business plans, as well as complete managerial responsibilities, including maintaining labor and other expenses within the budget guidelines. Ensure there is a constant focus on Guest Service throughout the operation. Ensure the right plans are in place and utilized to make changes, drive creative decisions, and influence planning.

What You Will Do

• Operate the day-to-day functions of Disney’s Vero Beach Resort restaurants and encourage front-line Cast Members and Salaried Leaders to deliver outstanding “World-Class” dining experiences.

• Provide Leadership, development, support, and motivation to Front of the House Leaders, creating a positive environment that encourages ownership and accountability.

• Work with the Leaders and Chef to train the service team to deliver outstanding service and to showcase cutting-edge food offerings while offering a beverage pairing to our Guests.

• Work with partners to ensure the success of global initiatives. Be a role model of exceptional Service and Beverage skills, professional behavior, and Safety.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum 5 years of leadership experience

• Passion for the Food and Beverage industry, Guest service, and Cast development

• Demonstrated business acumen, strong partnering and influencing skills

• Demonstrates a focus on continuous improvement and the ability to hold others accountable to deliver desired outcomes

• Demonstrates strategic thinking, analytical skills, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

• Ability to coach and develop a diverse Cast

• Demonstrates ability for conflict resolution

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing an operation of revenue greater than 2M annually

• 3 years of experience in a Food and Beverage operation

• Bilingual Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Hotel/Restaurant management or work experience equivalent

Education

• High school diploma
