About Taco Bus
Twenty years before the food truck trend was filling up hungry stomachs and cable-TV time slots, a converted school bus rolled into Tampa, bringing with it unforgettable Mexican food. Job Requirements
- Must be able to efficiently use flat top grills and deep fryers.
- Be able to memorize builds for multiple menu items.
- Preparing a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, sauces, salsas, and other food items.
- Completing hot and cold food preparation accurately, neatly, and in an efficient manner.
- Preparing food throughout the day as needed, anticipating and reacting and reacting to customer volume/rush times.
- Maintaining appropriate portion control and consistently monitoring food levels on the line.
- Maintain proper food handling, safety, and sanitation standards while preparing and cooking food.
- Maintaining a clean and sanitary work area.
- Handling, storing and rotating all food products properly.
Other Requirements
- 6 months restaurant experience preferred.
- Ability to work positively in a fast paced work environment.
- Ability to work efficiently as a team.
- Must be able to work in a confined space and stand for an extended period of time.
- Basic English reading and communication skills.
- Knowledge of Health Department standards for food service employees.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Must be prompt, reliable and flexible.
- Strong attention to detail.
