EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
In this role, proficient automated and manual Accessibility testing skills will be necessary to determine Accessibility compliance. Effective communication is essential as you will be required to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff as well as provide guidance and training to other employees when needed. You will have the opportunity to assist the Accessibility Compliance lead with a full range of activities to ensure the operational effectiveness and accessibility of the EBR DC’s applications and service offerings. Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to: Providing technical assistance, support and content or application evaluations to the EBR DC web and application developersCompleting periodic reviews or audits of EBR DC applications and websitesReviewing and evaluating accessibility audit reports first submitted to OA/OIT from agencies throughout the enterpriseTraining EBR DC web and application developers through various forums and work sessionsAssisting with technical assistance to EBR DC program areas regarding accessible document remediation, accessible web design, and job accommodation involving the utilization of adaptive computer technology by persons with disabilitiesInterested in learning more? Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employmentWork hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.Work hours may be negotiable within operational business hours.Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time, reporting in-office as required. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.You will receive further communication regarding this position via email.
