SalaryPennsylvania Legislative Services (PLS) is looking for an IT Application Developer to assist in the development and management of various legislative data systems to support our exciting and growing business.
- In this position, you will work closely with the PLS management, and our Technology Team, to support, optimize, and manage day-to-day operations of our business applications.
Responsibilities Include:
- Technical support of PLS’s various services on which you will be completely trained, in order to guide our business and support our vision.
- Day-to-day monitoring of systems from a technical point of view to ensure everything is running as expected.
- Continuous development and optimization of processes and tools
- Participation in critical projects to help test and validate new functionalities in the systems to ensure stability and quality during and after deployments.
- Collaborating closely with internal staff as well as external development partners
- Define, document, and maintain system manuals and routines involved to ensure stability and quality of systems.
- Proactively suggesting possible changes and optimizations to the process, tools, and systems,
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience in working with Azure, HTML, CSS, PHP, NodeJS, Mongo, WordPress, and SQL Databases
- Ability to think creatively with strong investigative skills
- Strong prioritization and time management skills as well as strong sense of commitment and accountability.
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment: Monday – Friday
- Work hours: 9:00AM – 5:00PM
- Starting Salary: Salary will be commensurate with experience.
- Location: This position is headquartered in Harrisburg with occasional opportunity to work from home (telework).
