Application Security Lead
PBF Energy Inc. (NYSE:PBF) is one of the largest independent refiners in North America, operating through its subsidiaries, oil refineries and related facilities. We are seeking a talented Application Security Lead to join our team as a pivotal member that would play a key role here at PBF Energy. This role would be located onsite at our Company headquarters in Parsippany, NJ.
Application Security Lead will manage a team of analysts to optimize the enterprise's security across a multitude of applications. The position is geared towards a personable, organized, driven individual that is looking to grow within an organization, continually learning and taking on further responsibilities. As the Application Security Lead, you will collaborate effectively, encourage diverse perspectives, and install a proactive and forward-thinking mindset. By applying your data-driven insights and leveraging industry best practices, you guide your team and customers towards making informed choices that enhance security posture and mitigate risks effectively.
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage, mentor, and direct a team of security professionals that are spread out across the US and offshore in India. Provide recommendations on staffing needs, backfills, etc. The Application Security Lead will assist team members in monitoring, and triage incidents based on prioritization; as well as provide hands on support as necessary. Candidate will work closely to evaluate opportunities and monitor the operational environment to ensure compliance with security standards and procedures
- Manage and contribute to Application Security work related to day-to-day support (PBF's user base spans from PST to EST time zones), improvements, and projects. Ability to provide estimates for projects and improvements and solutions for all security requests
- Manage enterprise risk approximately across ~15 applications (Such as SAP, SAP GRC, PowerPlan, ETRM, Boomi, etc.)
- Prioritize and organize the security team for optimal User Access provisioning - Creation, Modifications and Terminations
- Ability to drive, implement and sustain segregation of duties, delegation of authority, and audit mitigations
- Identify improvements for Firefighter ID assignments across applications, user access provisioning, and audits
- Conduct timely reviews of access in different applications as per audit standards (User Access Reviews)
- Analysis of user access using SAP and Excel for risk management
- Proactively prevent unauthorized access, use, modification, or disruption of user's application access
- Team player, quick learner, analytical thinker, organized and detail oriented
- Proactive in assisting team members in all aspects of Application Security
- Ability to communicate and interact with all levels of the Business and IT
- Ability to understand new technologies quickly with willingness to learn
- Work within established policies, processes, and procedures around Applications Security - support, projects, and improvements
- Able to independently plan and prioritize multiple assignments to meet expectations of time and quality in a complex and fast-paced environment
- Eventually this position will manage other teams
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Business Management, Computer Science or related IT field
- 5+ years of related experience with at least 1 year leading a team preferred
- SAP GRC security background preferred
- Should possess good interpersonal and communication skills to work with Business Users at all levels and be able to articulate issues/problems and the proposed solution in a meaningful way
- Self-reliant individual with demonstrated ability to quickly add value to an organization
- Ability to analyze and design business processes
- Ability to institute best practices in various aspects of day-to-day work
- Ability to work effectively with a wide variety of people using strong written and oral communication skills
- Proven ability to learn new processes / applications in order to support related users and systems / tools
- Proven ability in assisting internal customers to increase value contribution to the organization
- Experience managing expectations while at the same time satisfying requirements
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate conflict while working with parties toward acceptable solutions
- Demonstrated ability to team with cross functional resources to satisfy requirements
- Experience working with diverse and multicultural teams as confirmed thru previous work experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools
