Application Analyst

We at IU Health consider the Radiology IS Applications Analyst to be a key member of our technology team. You will quickly acquire a working knowledge of the team's applications and the tools used for troubleshoot including a diverse suite of Radiology and Imaging applications and their complex interconnectivity to include image storage, image retrieval, image post-processing, image 3D reconstruction, HL7 analysis, DICOM analysis, and much more. Once trained you will be empowered to make effective decisions using independent judgment and discretion to install, troubleshoot, train, report, and develop documentation for assigned applications. You will also assist Intermediate and Senior Analysts while they conduct more in-depth analyses of new systems and conduct the careful workflow planning needed to maximize these benefits. This will include assisting with the investigation of departmental requirements, coordination of specifications with other teams, testing, deployment, and development of supporting documentation. Successful interaction with customers and Intermediate and Senior Analysts will begin your path to promotion.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Configures, installs, maintains and upgrades hospital information systems hardware and software under direct supervision.
- Administers and maintains security of operating systems.
- Provides operational support for the organization's information systems, peripheral equipment, and clinical applications.
- Provides onsite support to the organization's internal users of computer applications and hardware.
- Performs routine assignments using existing procedures.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- 0-3 years of experience required.
- Requires knowledge of multi application environments.
- Prefers experience with databases or clinical systems.
