Provides HR support in a manufacturing environment supporting approximately 300 employees while mentoring a team of talented HR people. This Senior HR Manager is a key member of the site management team operating within a matrix organization. The Senior HR Manager contributes to the company's performance by providing tactical and strategic consulting on people and organization development initiatives that support their business objectives.
This position is located in St. Johnsbury and it's preferred to have this key team member working onsite majority of the time.
How you'll make an impact...
- Contribute recommendations and solutions as a trusted member of the local site management team, consisting of on-site and matrix functional leaders.
- Lead and implement goal alignment, setting and cascading clear, comprehensive targets and KPIs throughout the functions.
- Participate in change management teams and lead initiatives to make such changes achievable and understandable to employees.
- Proactively work with employees and managers to identify potential issues and trends in the workplace; partner with employees and managers to develop and deploy complex solutions.
- Provide guidance, coaching and resolution to employee relation matters.
- Continually innovate by improving HR processes, existing programs and introducing and championing new initiatives.
- Participate in and lead the annual control cycle.
What do you bring...
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, or related field with SHRM CP or PHR Certification.
- Five years of progressive human resource experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Demonstrated knowledge of federal, state, and local laws related to employment.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent relationship building and influencing skills with people at all levels of the organization.
- Experienced resolving conflict and diffusing difficult situations.
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
