Position Summary
The Analytical Laboratory Technician position is designed to perform analytical tests on raw materials, in-process and finished goods. This role plays a crucial part in guaranteeing that all testing adheres to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), supporting the Analytical Lab Supervisor in upholding the standards of excellence in the laboratory.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and organize samples for comprehensive testing across raw materials, in-process materials, and final products, ensuring thorough analysis.
- Conduct both physical and chemical examinations following established protocols, applying both wet chemistry techniques andinstrumental analysis.
- Oversee the operation and upkeep of sophisticated scientific instruments, ensuring their optimal performance.
- Execute precise daily and monthly calibrations of instruments to maintain their accurate functioning.
- Uphold laboratory standards through the regular maintenance, cleaning, and sterilization of instruments and equipment.
- Contribute to the development and validation of assay methods to enhance testing processes.
- Keep detailed, up-to-date laboratory notebooks and records, ensuring documentation is clear and concise.
- Collaborate effectively with the team to meet testing objectives efficiently and on schedule.
- Vigilantly monitor product quality, ensuring all products meet or exceed established standards and specifications.
- Rigorously adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), including global and local methods, and familiarize oneself with standard methodologies such as USP, AOCS, ASTM.
- Apply fundamental laboratory safety practices, handle reagents carefully, and manage chemical waste in compliance with local environmental regulations.

Required Education and Experience
- Associate’s degree in a scientific discipline, complemented by at least 2 years of relevant experience.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Biology.
- Up to 2 years of experience in a Quality or analytical laboratory setting.
- Hands-on experience with common analytical laboratory instruments (e.g., HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, FTIR).
- Knowledge of organic chemistry and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
