What you’ll do
- Establish and maintain financial and operational reporting to measure business performance
- Leverage data and systems tools (e.g., NetSuite, Power-BI, etc.) to build and manage financial and operational reporting
- Analyze SKU profitability to assist in the development of meaningful, actionable, and timely actions for leadership to take
- Support the planning and forecasting processes, partnering cross-functionally with departments to build departmental budgets
- Oversee department budgets / capex, scheduling monthly connects for us to have discussions and providing driver commentary
- Assist in preparing performance analyses highlighting monthly, quarterly, and annual performance relative to Plan and other comparison views
- Form financial results commentary for the leadership team (MD&A) in various contexts (including actuals vs plan, actuals vs prior month, actuals vs prior year, etc.), partnering and aligning with the accounting team
- Helps analyze day-to-day business results
- Builds models/analyses to track strategic initiatives and margin impact
- Support the establishment of COGS Standard values for products at the SKU level
- Create, and analyze product mix analyses to provide insights into results
- Support the leadership team in preparation of presentations to the board of directors
- Take a leading role in Ad Hoc requests when needed, partnering with all other teams
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree
- Prior finance / FP&A experience; E-commerce and/or CPG experience are valued significantly
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Identifies informational needs and efficiently organizes, analyzes, and builds reports from large data sets in Excel or in internal systems (e.g., NetSuite, Power-BI, Toolio)
- Demonstrate strong intellectual curiosity that translates into finding new approaches to business issues
- Displays strong attention to detail
- Establishes credibility with colleagues and partners across the organization
- Strong interpersonal ability, with effective written and oral communication skills
- Thrives in a high-performance, fast-paced, and entrepreneurial environment
- Balances multiple projects to meet deadlines, showing the ability to think and act independently, and with limited supervision
Job Details
- This position is based in Westport, CT. You will be required to come into the Westport office 2 days a week.
