The Opportunity
To support and provide accurate, relevant, knowledgeable, and timely cost accounting, financial and operational results, and transactional accounting information to the Glanbia. This may include the reconciling and preparing production reporting, balancing and tracking physical inventories and usage. This permanent position will report to the Director of Finance Pre-Mix Operations .
Extract plant floor data to ensure manufacturing variances are understood and actionable based on the collection and analysis of data. Update Plant performance files Report on Daily Production Volumes Calculate batch yield Reconcile BOL to production and send report out to customer service for invoicing Prepare and reconcile production on daily, weekly, and monthly basis. Interact with key business leaders as needed Prepare weekly and monthly expense analysis vs budget, for all departments and communicate with department managers. Prepare bottoms-up overhead budget and forecast for manufacturing departments Assist with forecasting weekly volumes Validate physical plant inventories against SAP. Prepare weekly/monthly reporting for expense categories as assigned. Update and send out Ops GN Weekly Tracker Work with the purchasing and central team to resolve both current and aged issues on the AP hold report for items that fail three-way match. Assist in completing monthly balance sheet reconciliations for assigned accounts Evaluate and report on monthly, quarterly, and annual performance trends Assist month-end/year-end close processes Calculate savings and update UL tracker Calculate customer "pay or take" penalty Reconcile production to Invoicing Update month-end Operations files Reconcile month-end Finished Goods inventory Oversee and perform monthly Cycle count for spare parts and raw material inventory Analyzes Gross Margin and Gross Profit to determine impact caused by volume, selling prices, material costs and/or production costs Prepares and distributes variance analysis to executive management
The Skills you will bring to the team Requires a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of three years related experience. CPA, CMA or equivalent experience preferred Must have demonstrably strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal), to include speaking clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Provide leadership to others through example of sharing of knowledge/skill. Strong attention to detail and a sense of urgency in resolving issues. Good follow-up skills. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple projects simultaneously. Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources. Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals. Proficiency with MS Word, Excel (Advanced) Outlook, and PowerPoint. Experience with ERP database is an advantage (SAP preferred).
