Description:
- Will be responsible for complying with the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) requirements to prevent, detect, and deter money laundering and terrorist financing.
- The responsibilities include KYC Review, transaction review, Prior SAR/CTR filing review, and a decision to close with no risk or escalate the alert to case investigations for further investigation.
- Investigate and assess alerts relating to potential money laundering risks in the organization
- Stay current with money laundering and terrorist financing behaviors, issues, policies, regulations, criminal typologies, industry best practices, and developing trends
- Determined whether the activity seemed legitimate, by applying various AML regulations including the USA PATRIOT ACT, the Bank Secrecy Act and OFAC.
- Analyses financial statements and transaction data patterns in order to evaluate accounts flagged for possible suspicious activity.
- Verifying the transactions with regards to the regulatory and policy requirements. Perform Research, verification and analysis of the transactions and arrive at a conclusive action & perform reviews through agreed process stages, with reference to clients’ policies and procedures, to drive effective and agreed early resolution.
- Identified red flags and patterns associated with the laundering of illicit funds.
- Superior writing skills with the ability to convey ideas clearly, succinctly and efficiently.
- High competency in written and oral communication; strong interpersonal skills.
- Experience in working with applications - Verafin , Salesforce , vision Archive and FIS
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
This project will be supporting Retail banking LOB. There is currently a level 1 alter team and all analysts we're hiring for the project are level 2. They will receive the case escalation and review, write the narrative, and complete the SAR form. End client will do the actual filing.
