The Client Solutions Group helps clients assess their strategic investment and risk management alternatives by coordinating and assembling resources from across the Asset Management Division to provide advice-led, product agnostic solutions. The team also assists in driving new asset management opportunities in partnership with client coverage and portfolio management teams, as well as developing and distributing thought leadership across varioUS Client segments.

Responsibilities
- Conduct primary and secondary research around issues pertaining to institutional investors, including defined benefit plans, defined contribution plans, sovereign wealth funds, and endowments & foundations.
- Assist in the creation of content for broad dissemination to clients and prospects, such as white papers, investment analyses, briefing notes and PowerPoint presentations.
- Participate in client calls and meetings and design/prepare bespoke analysis based on client inquiries, such as peer benchmarking and other ad hoc requests.
- Take ownership and coordinate creation of certain publications and projects that occur on a recurring basis, as well as other research projects that arise based on market dynamics, changes in regulation, client activity or other catalysts.
- Create and maintain databases of both transactional as well as publicly sourced data to assist with publications and client requested analysis.
- Partner with coverage teams to conduct primary research and develop materials and strategy on how best to engage with prospects and existing clients and review potential solutions.
- Work with product teams to communicate investment challenges to institutional investors and to collaborate and design/investigate potential solutions.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in business or finance-related studies.
- MBA and/or CFA Charter holder preferred.
- Extremely detail oriented.
- Adept at multi-tasking, prioritizing and able to complete requests for analysis with short deadlines.
- Ability to identify commercial opportunities, driven both from client conversations as well as analysis of publicly available data.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience at an asset management firm or financial services organization; prior research-related experience preferred.
- Familiarity with many of the accounting, funding and tax regulations that govern corporate and public defined benefit pension plans.
- Familiarity with portfolio construction methods/theory.
- Comfort with working with and manipulating large amounts of data, including discerning good data sources from those of lower quality and drawing sound conclusions from these data sets.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
