We are currently seeking a Systems Administrator to support our ALE team at Pax River, MD. Duties of the role may include:
- Responsible for installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining specialized software systems and applications that satisfy both organizational and cyber security requirements.
- Responsible for the configuration, maintenance, and reliable operation of supporting computer systems and network servers, i.e., patching, scanning, and backup systems.
- Ensure system compliance is maintained in accordance with the current Authority to Operate (ATO).
- Monitor and identify cyber security risks, threats and vulnerabilities of systems, software, applications, and new technology initiatives.
- Updating and/or upgrading computer components and software. This will be done both on-site and remotely.
- Perform research, install, configure, and test products for automating processes such as patching, software upgrades, group policy enforcement, and ensuring cyber requirements compliance.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing the impact of issues.
- Ensure all software applications are approved for use in each network environment where deployed, including third-party software. If required and not already approved, perform application registration. All software will be tracked and updated as required to support the program’s mission.
- Provide helpdesk support efforts for all associated Portable Electronic Maintenance Aids (PEMAs) and related equipment, ensuring resolution in a timely manner.
- Provide support for planning, testing, and implementing new products or upgrades of IT infrastructure.
- Responsible for maintaining website and aircraft data access.
- Draft program related documentation to support all activities.
- Perform other tasks as required.
Required Education: BS/BA Degree Preferred - May Require a Master's Degree
Required Experience: At least 5-12 years of experience in the field or related area.
Additional Requirements: Candidates must meet DoD Cyber Workforce Management Program (DoD 8140.01 & DoD 8570.01-m) requirements.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
