- The MA provides a wide range of assistive services to promote patient flow, patient information gathering and patient care in the clinic setting. Performs patient access duties i.e. patient check in and appointment setting for the Provider's office to support patient care delivery and follow up. All medical tasks will be performed per the direction of the clinic nurse or Provider.The Certified/Registered Medical Assistant (MA) works under the supervision of the Clinic Manager and under the direction of the provider and/or nurse, and is employed by Mosaic Life Care.
- Interviews patient and documents patient's response in the medical record according to standard.
- Administers and documents prescribed medications (oral, intramuscular, intradermal, subcutaneous, inhaled, drops) and treatments in accordance with organizational standards.
- Observes, records, and reports patient's response to medications and treatments to provider(s).
- Other duties as assigned
- H.S. Diploma is required.Completion of a Medical Assistant training program is required.
- CMA - Certified Or Registered Medical Assistant is required.BCLS - Basic Life Support is required.
- Six months physician's office or healthcare setting is preferred.
