PAY RATE: $32.00 per hour.

3 TO 6-month contract with opportunities for extension
Shift: 2nd Shift - Monday to Friday 2:30pm to 11pm
Location: 100% Onsite in Irvine, CA

Summary:
The Structures Company is seeking an experienced 2nd shiftAIT Technician. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the AIT Technician, will be responsible for manufacturing sub-assemblies of spacecraft. The ideal candidate should possess a keen visual understanding and knowledge of quality control and ASO-9100 standards with close attention to detail and origination skills.
Responsibilities:
Follow detailed procedures to assemble complex electronic and mechanical modules.
Perform soldering tasks and knowledge of soldering tools and practices (J-STD_001 certification preferred but not required)
Operate hand tools such as screwdrivers, torque wrenches, tweezers, scissors, etc.
Perform miscellaneous lab duties, including kitting, inventory, and organization tasks
Communicate statuses, issues, and suggestions effectively to the support engineering team
Updating documentation and hardware statuses through online services
Basic avionics and the electrical troubleshooting
Assist in spacecraft flight integration activities
Must possess a strong work ethic, be able to work with limited supervision, and meet the requirements of the attendance policy
Must perform all functions of the job in a safe and professional manner
Must keep work area(s) in a neat, clean, safe, and orderly condition
Ability to sit or stand for most of the working day
Flexibility to support weekends and alternate shifts.
Perform other tasks/responsibilities as assigned
Required Skills:
10+ years of professional experience working hands-on as a technician in the aerospace, aviation, or a similar industry
High school diploma or GED
ASO-9100 STANDARDS
Ability to read, understand and follow detailed work instructions for testing flight modules
Proficiency with Windows 10, Microsoft Office products, and internet browser applications
Good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace
Ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment
Familiarity with cleanroom cleanliness standards and ESD precautions
Meticulous attention to detail and documentation
