- Graduation with Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Aviation Management, Public or Business Administration, or a related field to the job, plus six (6) years of experience in a field related to the job, including two (2) years of experience which were in a supervisory or management capacity.

POSITIONOVERVIEW:
Under general direction, this position is responsible for providing vision, planning, leadership, strategic direction, and oversight of terminal, landside, airside, and fleet maintenance at the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS). This position is responsible for the continual safety, sustainability, efficiency, and continuity of maintenance.
Develops annual and multi-year plans and strategies to meet AUS operational needs.
Develops and directs the implementation of goals, objectives, policies, procedures, and work standards to support the airport strategic plan. Leads the Airport Maintenance teams in ensuring the airport’s facilities are well maintained to provide positive customer experience.
Ensures the airfield maintenance is compliant to maintain the airport’s Federal Aviation Administration Operating Certificate. Directs Airport Maintenance to ensure compliance with Federal aviation regulations, policies, procedures, and delivery of quality customer and operational services. Confers with representatives of airlines, concessionaires, and others using airport facilities to coordinate maintenance and repair activities in tenant spaces.
Makes recommendations on construction, alterations, and maintenance activities at the airport facilities. Directs actions and resources to resolve emergencies, significant weather events and other irregular operation.

- Experience managing in a medium or large hub airport and implementing requirements / standards of 14 CFR Part 139.
