Agency Care Supervisor

The Agency Care Supervisor is responsible for interviewing potential Personal Care Aides, assisting with Client and PCA new hire on-boarding, assisting with regular in-service training for PCAs and other agency staff, and supervising PCAs. Works with clients to maintain satisfaction and delivery of home care services. This position works closely with other Palco Choice staff to provide great service to clients.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Interview, train, and supervise Personal Care Aides.
  • Responsible for performance management of Personal Care Aides.
  • Train and guides Personal Care Aides on client service plans.
  • Review Personal Care Aides records/service documentation for accuracy.
  • Conduct supervisory in-home visits with client and PCA annually and as needed.
  • Assist with monitoring and revising individualized service plans for clients.
  • Must be able to drive personal vehicle to client homes for on-site evaluation.
  • Advise staff on emergency protocols.
  • Investigate incident reports.
  • Be available for after-hours consultations, as needed.
  • Meet all requirements of the company’s remote work policy including maintaining a high-speed internet minimum of 50Mbps.
  • Primary point of contact for client and PCA.
  • Frequent travel within a designated region of Arkansas.
  • Promoting brand recognition through outreach efforts in the community.
  • Maintain and promote a profitable caseload of clients.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written communication.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Good listening skills.
  • Good understanding of client service plans or plans of care.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to handle difficult situations with professionalism and discretion.
  • Ability to follow HIPAA guidelines.
  • Ability to work with diverse groups of individuals.
  • Ability to supervise and lead others.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Work with a sense of urgency.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, criminal background check, Adult Maltreatment and Child Maltreatment background check and MVR.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must have a valid, unexpired driver’s license.
  • Ability to travel 80% of the time across the state of Arkansas.

Education and Experience:

  • LPN or one who has completed two years of full-time study at an accredited institution of higher education or High School Diploma/GED and one year of full-time employment in a supervisory capacity in a healthcare facility or community-based agency.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
