Job Summary:
A Supervisor of Care Coordination provides oversight of the day-to-day behavioral health clinical operations department for the Empower PASSE program, which provides Care Coordination services to all members.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
May include, but are not limited to:
- Provides day-to-day oversight of Care Coordinators and their assigned members , including benching of cases with staff, auditing to monitor efficiency and compliance with policies, and conducting daily rounds.
- Facilities and participates in staff training.
- Acts as a liaison with internal departments.
- Assists in the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
- Participates in staff meetings and clinical conferences.
- Ensures that performance guarantees are met or exceeded.
- Interfaces with external and internal customers to ensure optimal efficiency of service.
- Lead crisis management.
- Manage and analyze reports and data.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Must be able to determine the needed approach, resources, and goals to meet business objectives and member needs.
- Must be able to analyze and translate medical and clinical diagnoses and procedures into designated numerical code.
- Must be able to handle multiple priorities at once.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Education and Experience:
- Education & Experience: BS/BA in a mental health field or an AA in Nursing with related psychiatric experience required; 5 years behavioral healthcare experience required; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background
- 3 years managed care and 1 year leadership experience preferred
- Licensure: Current, active, unrestricted license in the state of AR in a mental health field such as an RN, PhD, LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LMSW, etc. to practice as a health professional required
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
