Schedule Standard work schedule to be provided by leader.
Salary Range $58,796 - $79,463 Per Year
JOB SUMMARY:
Serve as the resident Parts expert and single point of contact for assigned client base. Be available and responsive to requests through organized, effective, and efficient communication ensuring an optimal client experience. Utilize technical and system knowledge and product/parts expertise to understand client needs and provide best in class problem resolution and prioritization. Collaborate with Parts, Service, Equipment Management, and other internal partners to source vendors for parts options that contribute to client loyalty, revenues, and net profits.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Serve as the resident Parts expert and single point of contact for assigned client base.
  • Be available and responsive to requests through organized, effective, and efficient communication ensuring an optimal client experience.
  • Collaborate with Parts, Service, Equipment Management and other internal partners to source vendors for parts options that contribute to client loyalty, revenues, and net profits.
  • Utilize technical and system knowledge and product/parts expertise to understand client needs and provide best in class problem resolution and prioritization.
  • Partner with internal and external teams to ensure work assignments are carried out on schedule. Follow up on the status of assigned tasks/projects.
  • Be proactive in understanding client profiles and order history for identifying and proposing solutions.
  • Regularly interact with internal and external clients at various levels of leadership and make judgement calls of significant financial impact.
  • Partner with shop planners, leads, and/or managers to negotiate settlements, discuss and resolve discrepancies, and balance client and Empire’s interests at all times.
  • Understand client reporting needs. Partner with data team to develop management reports that support data driven decision making.
  • Approve estimates as directed by internal and external partners and/or management.
  • Travel to assigned stores/shops on a monthly basis, or as needed, to develop and maintain relationships.
  • Work safely at all times. Adhere to all applicable safety policies. Comply with all company policies, procedures, and standards.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Review order documents and invoices to ensure expectations are met and client approval is obtained in timely manner. Follow up with client on the invoicing and status of orders.
  • Attend meetings on a regular basis to represent client and department perspectives to achieve strategic goals.
  • Provide feedback internally to drive change sufficient to meet market demands and provide viable client solutions.
  • Work within current systems to ensure records are properly maintained for accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Must have interpersonal, organization and planning skills sufficient to assist clients and coordinate activities that maintain optimal levels of support.
  • Ability to influence and motivate others.
  • Previous knowledge of Supply Chain, ordering, procurement and warehousing of parts for various equipment and medium/heavy duty trucks, engines and related components is preferred.
  • Must have sufficient business knowledge to understand client opportunities and to express these opportunities to the appropriate area within Empire.
  • Must be able and willing to accept, communicate and enforce company policies, procedures and regulations.
  • Must be able to utilize computer based parts and order management systems.
  • Must have planning and organization skills sufficient to accurately track various requests and provide instructions to numerous people simultaneously.
  • Must possess knowledge and experience relative to the assigned clients within the equipment industry.
  • Must have necessary negotiation skills to effectively reach an agreement with the client and/or vendors.
  • Must be a motivated self-starter.
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must have acceptable attendance to meet all company standards and requirements.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • College degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar advisor, client support, or related technical role.
  • Previous experience utilizing a computer-oriented management system similar to Empire.
  • Previous general experience in a Caterpillar Dealer Parts Department preferred.
  • Maintain valid driver’s license.
  • Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write) in English.
