Description:
We're looking for an experienced Technical Writer with deep understanding of products/infrastructure. In this role, you’ll join our team who works with engineering and product management to update and maintain the eCommerce platform
As a Technical Writer, your role involves tasks such as writing conceptual overviews and procedures, reading and writing example code, or updating help center queries and FAQs. Using your extensive technical and leadership experience, you manage a team of writers, setting direction, giving feedback, collaborating internally and lending specific content expertise. You will work with a team of Technical Writers, seek out and prioritize technical challenges of immense value. You will also inspire others to deliver clear, compelling communications, infusing content with credible knowledge of the technology and infrastructure behind it.
Requirements:
- Experience with highly technical documentation required for Schema.org and FeedSpec
- Experience with HTML
- Highly technical judgment and understanding required to perform the role
- You’ll document new features and use customer and support team feedback to plan and deliver content improvements.
- You'll also have access to a larger team of writers in the organization, with opportunities to collaborate around tools, process, and innovation.
- Write technical documentation for developers and enterprise customers, including concept docs, how-to guides, and API reference docs
- Design and organize documentation sets for new features
- Rewrite and reorganize existing documentation to improve the customer experience
- Manage complex documentation projects, and take responsibility for the quality of your documentation
- Use internal Google tools, such as Cider-V, Critique to publish customer documentation
- Coordinate staffing needs with leadership.
- Responsibilities also include Working with a functional lead to execute strategies for improving document quality and developer experience. Partner with Product Management and Engineering documentation teams to plan docs strategies and deliverables.

- Experience managing teams with multiple stakeholders across a variety of product areas Ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
- Demonstrated analytical skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills. Technical writers communicate complex information clearly, concisely and accurately, and without relying on jargon
