The Advanced Practice Provider  will be in the General Surgery Departmentand have responsibilities in the OSU Medicine General Surgery and the OSUMGPlastic/Reconstructive Surgery Office. The Advanced Practice Provider will be responsiblefor providing clinical services and care within the OSU System.  Thisposition will facilitate care in accordance with the APRN/ARC-PA Standards andOklahoma State University policies.
APP Principal FacultyResponsibilities:
Clinical Practice (100%)
-Provide medical care to patients in the General Surgery Department. This includes office clinic, hospital, emergency room, and other duties.
-Provide medical care to patients in the Plastic/Reconstructive Surgery Office. This includes office clinic, hospital, emergency room, and other duties.
-Complete adequate and timely documentation in the EMR system.
-Complete adequate and timely billing.
-Provide hospital inpatient coverage when needed and requested by providers.
-Other duties as designated by the Department Chair of the General Surgery Department.
Environmental Hazards: Possible exposure to hazardous material, hot and cold, blood borne pathogens. 
PhysicalRequirements:

-Be innovative Education & Experience Position Qualifications: Requirements:
-Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program OR accredited APRN program.
-NCCPA certification or APRN certification.
-Oklahoma State License preferably with current DEA, OBNDD
-Valid Driver's License 
Skills, Proficiencies, and Knowledge:
-Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
-Leadership skills demonstrated by participation in local, regional or national PA programs.
Preferred:
-ACLS, BLS, PALS certification
-Experience in General Surgery, Wound Care,Plastic Surgery
