The Adult Day Care in the Bronx is seeking 1 full time Accounting Clerk/Scheduler to join our team. Work schedule will be from Monday to Friday, full time , 37.5 hours per week.Location is 1200 Waters Place, Bronx, NY 10461.
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
Clerk Scheduler
· Prints out list of scheduled clients for following day of attendance
· Contacts clients scheduled to confirm attendance for the day
· Schedules transportation
· Assign vouchers to clients taking taxi as needed
· Sends voucher sheet to transportation via email as indicated
· Makes notes on scheduled sheet of clients not attending and reason for non attendance
· Sends list of clients with insurance identified of clients not attending with reasons noted to staff no later than 9:15am(Day) and 12:30 pm(Afternoon)
- Checks clients in upon arrival
- Adds name to circle/highlighted sheet if client does not appear on schedule
- Checks client in each day of attendance
- Reconciles attendance between log, scheduled sheet, menus or attendance count in lunch room
- Records daily attendance counts and sends out to staff by end of day
- Answers phones and directs calls to appropriate staff; takes messages as indicated
- Schedules days of attendance
- Set-ups check-in task
- Awaits receipt of Service Plan completion
- Copies Service plan
- Checks on status of MD order from RNs
- Sends out request for ongoing authorization to Managed Care companies
- Notifies Social Worker that authorization request was sent out
- Runs daily reconciliation reports for billing issues (expired authorization, missing MD, missing Dxs etc.) and alerts appropriate staff
- Alerts Finance if any clients cannot be billed for the day( expired auth, missing MD, DXs
- Covers front desk in absence of scheduler
- Covers for Office Manager as needed
Job Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year experience in clerical field.
- Experience working with frail elderly preferred
Physical Demand:
- Walking throughout the agency to deliver or receive information.
- Sitting for long periods of time.
- Lifting charts.
- Pushing wheelchairs.
