We are currently considering candidates for a hospitality focused Admissions Nurse/RN. Candidates must have nursing experience and a desire to join a great team dedicated to providing outstanding and superior hospitality. We currently have the following shifts available: Full-Time.
The Admissions Nurse/RN at The Glenview at Pelican Bay is responsible for providing direct nursing care to the residents, and to supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants.
The Admissions Nurse/RN is responsible for the following services including but not limited to:
- Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the long-term care facility.
- Make written and oral reports/ recommendations concerning the activities of your shift as required.
- Complete and file required recordkeeping forms/charts upon the resident's admission, transfer, and/or discharge.
- Receive telephone orders from physicians and record on the Physicians' Order Form.
- Transcribe physician's orders to resident charts, cardex, medication cards, treatment/care plans, as required.
- chart nurses' notes in an informative and descriptive manner that reflects the care provided to the resident, as well as the resident's response to the care.
- Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician.
- Ensure that narcotic records are accurate for your shift.
- Review care plans daily to ensure that appropriate care is being rendered.
- Receive/give the nursing report upon reporting in and ending shift duty hours.
- Maintain the confidentiality of all resident care information including protected health information. Report known or suspected incidents of unauthorized disclosure of such information.
Skills/Qualifications:
Florida State Licensed Registered Nurse License and CPR Certification. Must pass an extensive criminal check and drug screen.
